ABOUT THE HONOREES
Dr. Allen Finkelstein
Dr. Allen Finkelstein, the Chief Executive Officer of Bedford HealthCare Solutions, is the former Chief Dental Officer of AmeriChoice/United Health Group insuring over 3.5 million lives in dental government coverage.
Dr. Finkelstein is currently an adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at New York University, College of Dentistry, Senior Advisor for Oral Health Strategies; an adjunct facility member of the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health of the A.T. Still University; a member of the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine Dean's Advisory Board, a member of Drexel College of Medicine Student Advisory Board and a member of the Visitor's Board of the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University.
Dr. Finkelstein testified before the Domestic Policy Subcommittee on Government Reform in the United States House of Representatives on "Evaluating Pediatric Dental Care under Medicaid."
Dr. Finkelstein is presently Vice Chair of the Alpha Omega Foundation US. He has also been long active in many community activities, both philanthropies and dental outreach programs for the underserved, and continues to be a dedicated proponent of integrated dental and medical care.
Dr. Rada Sumareva
Rada Sumareva, DDS, is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, NY/NJ, with a private practice limited to Periodontics and Implant Surgery.
After graduating with honors from New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Sumareva received her certificate in Periodontics. She has distinguished herself as the first place winner at the ADA and Greater New York Dental Meeting Research Table Clinic Competition. Dr. Sumareva has a very extensive background in oral cancer research, and immunobiology of periodontal disease. Her research yielded publications and presentations at national and local dental meetings. Dr. Sumareva's passion for education inspired her to become a co-founder of the international center for dental learning, the Managing Director of the Center for Professional Development, currently hosting educational programs for US dentists as well as dental and medical professionals from Russia, Ukraine, Canada and other countries.
Currently, Dr. Sumareva is serving as a judge for the ADA's scientific sessions. She is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, president and founding member of the Russian-American Dental Association, a member of OKU, and served on the Board of Directors of SCADA from 2003-2009.
George Wolfe is President of DMG America, a leading manufacturer and distributor of quality restorative dental materials and preventive products. George has had the unique experience of literally growing up in the dental trade and manufacturing business, following in his father Herb Wolfe's footsteps, a long-time figure in the dental industry.
George joined DMG America, Zenith Dental at the time, in 2002, as Director of Product Development. He launched several market-leading DMG products, as well as a completely new brand of dental hygiene materials called Kolorz.
In 2007 George became President of DMG America. His goal for DMG America is continued focus on the growth of the company and the strategic launching of high quality products, such as the Icon® system in 2009.
George sits on multiple industry and civic boards including the Dental Trade Alliance, the Dental Trade Alliance Foundation, the New Jersey Chapter of the Young Presidents' Organization, the Edward B. Shils Entrepreneurial Fund and the American Dental Assistants Association Foundation.
